Mayor & City Council
Mayor’s Welcome
Welcome to the Fourth of July City of Seward, Nebraska!
I am proud and honored to serve as the Mayor of Seward.
I am very thankful for the opportunities I had growing up in such a great community. As Mayor, I strive to provide those same opportunities and many more for the families that call Seward their home.
Our community boasts of many amenities that contribute to our high quality of life, including Memorial Library, Dowding Municipal Swimming Pool, Seward Community Golf Course, Seward County Fairgrounds, and numerous parks and ball fields.
Seward features a robust and vibrant historic downtown business district, which features a traditional Courthouse Square with various retail and service businesses, the bandshell for hosting concerts and performances, and the Rivoli movie theater.
Seward is the proud home of Concordia University and is honored to be the new home of the Nebraska National Guard Museum.
I invite you to visit our community first-hand and experience all that Seward has to offer.
Sincerely,
Joshua Eickmeier
Mayor
