Utility Bill Payments

 What’s New

The City of Seward has partnered with Xpress Bill Pay, the premier provider for online bill payment. The switch was made to provide you with many new and enhanced features like full bill presentation, paperless billing, billing history, auto pay, stored payment info, email notifications, and many more. When you sign up for online bill payment you’ll create a secure password that you use to access your personal account at

Every month we’ll send you a reminder email to let you know when your bill is online. Then, just log in through your Web browser or the Xpress Bill Pay Mobile App and view your bill. Select a payment type — credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer — enter the information, and you’re done! It’s that easy, and it only takes you a few minutes each month.

 

If you currently receive an email with your utility bill and wish to continue:

  • You will need to go to the link below to create an online account.

  • In the account creation process you will check the box “Opt in for Paperless”

  • Finish setting up your account.

  • You will now receive an email from Xpress Bill Pay every month with your utility bill.

If you pay your utility bill online:

  • You will need to go to the link below to create an online account.

  • You can pay your bills with a credit or debit card, or you can transfer funds directly from your checking account.

  • You can pay your bill from anywhere. Customers outside the U.S. can contact our Payment Center anytime to make a payment or to set up an Auto Pay.

  • After you complete the transaction, you can receive an email receipt to confirm the payment went through.

  • You can view up to a year’s history of your account online, so you can compare your current bill to a year ago.

  • If you’d like, you can select the Auto Pay option and your bill will be paid automatically each month.

Good to know:

  • All online payments made prior to midnight on the 15th will be considered on time. Any payments made online after 12:01am on the 16th will incur a 10% penalty charge. Please note, the penalty may show up on the following month’s bill due to processing.

  • Download the Xpress Bill Pay app from the app store for quick and easy access to your utility bill.

  • If you use a card as your primary payment method, you will be notified via email 30 days before your card expires.

  • You can stop and start auto pay at any time, you are in control.
